What a weekend we had watching the Border Ladies Team win the South of Scotland County Championships. Their first match was on the Saturday against last year’s winners Dumfriesshire. The Borders managed 8½ points to Dumfriesshire’s ½ point. On Monday the Borders won with 7 points to Galloway’s 2 points.
The golf on display over the three days was of a very high standard with many closely fought matches.
Three of our Club’s lady members were in the winning Borders squad – Ali Vine, Fiona Ker and Kirsty Inkpen – well done ladies and congratulations to Team Captain Kirsty who led the squad brilliantly!
